The CFL 300W Red is ideal for anyone wanting to start indoor growing. All Compact Fluorescents are self-ballasted meaning they can be plugged directly into the wall socket, avoiding the cost and heat of an external ballast.
They also run at a much cooler temperature than a HID bulb so you could get away using with little or no ventilation.
