These Airline Non Return Valves (or Check Valves) are absolutely essential in a air pump system. Cheap and easy to install, these valves ensure that water can not pass back inside the air pump (through siphoning or gravity), therefore protecting your air pump from water damage. One non return valve should be fitted to each airline running from the air pump to the pond.
